Custom Portraits
A custom portrait can make a perfect gift for a holiday
or anniversary, and will become an enduring family
heirloom. Capture the ephemeral spirit of your child
during his or her precious youth. Honor a matriarch or
grandparent.
Custom portraits require 3-4 months to complete, and
may be booked in advance. Final portrait can be
delivered in patinated terra cotta if only one is needed,
or cast in resin or bronze which also allows multiple
copies of the portrait. Custom bases and pedestals
can also be provided.
Each portrait is a unique piece of art, with up to a
hundred hours or more of the artist's time devoted to
the work. Your family will treasure this for generations.
Each assignment begins with a photo and
measurements session lasting up to two hours. 3-5
additional seatings of about an hour each are
recommended to ensure that the physical
characteristics and emotional essence of the subject
are brought to life in clay. Seatings are held at the
sculptor's studio or alternately, two remote
commissions each year can be undertaken.
Inquiries welcome regarding pricing and scheduling.
Dealer inquiries invited.
